September Recap: Game Shows, Puppies, and Future Leaders
As September rolled in, Phoenix might still be holding onto those summer temps, but at AMA, we were already turning up the heat with a month packed full of excitement! From adorable puppy adoptions to building connections, we kept the energy high and the momentum strong. Let’s dive into the highlights!

The Great Game Show Trade Show
Our Phoenix Education Conference and Trade Show was the talk of the month, drawing in 1,100 attendees ready to take on “The Great Game Show Trade Show” theme. Between engaging sessions and some playful surprises, this event was one for the books. Our Puppy Cuddles Lounge with the Arizona Humane Society didn’t just melt hearts—it also found homes for two puppies and one adult dog! Plus, a huge thank-you to everyone who visited the AMCF Phoenix Community Service Hub, where we teamed up to stuff 250 stockings for the children at UMOM New Day Centers, spreading some early holiday joy.
Building Connections at the IPC Meeting
September 25 saw us gathering at Bella Encanta Luxury Rental Homes for our Industry Partner Member Council meeting, hosted by MEB/Bryten. With over 40 members joining the fun, it was a perfect mix of networking, property touring, and learning how to do business with MEB/Bryten. One lucky member even walked away with a hosted lunch—talk about a delicious win!
Lyceum Leadership Class Making a Difference
The 2024 AMA Lyceum Leadership Class didn’t just hit the books—they hit the warehouse! Wrapping up their class project, they spent time organizing the UMOM New Day Centers warehouse. Kudos to this amazing group of future leaders for lending a hand where it matters most.
Agua Fría Career Expo
We also stepped into the future at the Agua Fría School District’s 9th Grade Career Expo, where we introduced over 2,500 students to the multi-housing industry. It’s all about planting seeds and showcasing the exciting career paths available in our field.
New Members and OnDemand Education
September brought a wave of fresh faces, with 34 new members joining the AMA family. Welcome aboard! And in case you missed it, all of our October education classes are available OnDemand for free to members—your one-stop shop for sharpening your skills on your own schedule.
Celebrating Linda Morales
Rounding out the month, we want to celebrate Linda Morales, our Tucson Area Association Executive, who hit the three-year mark with AMA. Congratulations!
